The Adult Education program uses the American Psychological Association (APA) style for citations and references. If you have used APA before, you should be in good shape. If you have used another reference style APA will probably annoy you until it becomes ingrained - usually in about the second to the last class of your program.
APA published the 6th edition of the Manual in July, 2009. You may use either 5th or 6th edition forms for references through the 2009-2010 academic year. If you will be graduating later than May 2010 please start using the 6th edition format. The OWL site at Purdue University is updated for 6th edition.
